Platoon Grouping Network Offloading Mechanism for VANETs

The growth in the number of connected vehicles ad-hoc networks or VANETs enables use increasingly sophisticated services and applications. One emerging application this scenario is Platooning, a stable stream autonomous vehicles. This improves safety, vehicle flow on road, energy consumption, among other variables. However, using technology need to share space with not automation levels. Among bottlenecks scenarios like this, Platoons formation splits stand out, as these maneuvers involve costs risk. Therefore, our contribution developing new strategy for mixed universe bring some desired benefits. results show that proposed solution achieved an accuracy 89% entire amount platoons datasets. Our experiments demonstrate cases collisions, provides more safe operation roads. Finally, we conclude determinism traffic conditions, achieving stationary speeds low variation.
